This is a tea you make when you are down and out. It takes all that is good with Cinnamon, Orange & Tea to another level by adding fresh ginger. Ideally you want keep the sugar out of this recipe. You can add 2 teaspoons of honey or sugar if you don't like the raw taste of ginger, but when you are sick, you can appreciate this without sugar, primarily because Ceylon Cinnamon is naturally sweet.
DIRECTIONS
(Serving Size : 2 Cups)
Notes :
1. Because our Cinnamon Tea is a high quality Ceylon tea made with 100% real Cinnamon Bark Oil you could actually make 2 cups of tea in a tea pot with one tea bag. It all depends on the size of the cup you use. Try it and see if you like it that way and whether you prefer to use one tea bag per cup.
2. Staining - Remember if you drink tea or coffee everyday (especially without milk) it will stain your teeth. So it is best you brush your teeth or rinse your mouth with water to prevent stain build up.
3. Extra water - Note we add an extra cup of water to make 2 cups. This is because boiling will evaporate some of the water and some will be absorbed by the tea bag. So always put a little extra water when making tea.
4. Tap water or spring water - You can use plain tap water to make your tea, but the taste of the tea will degrade by about 10% when you do that.
5. Amount of orange peel - There is a temptation to add more orange peel. If you do this, the taste will will get an overtly orange taste and the smell and taste of Cinnamon will be dulled. The idea is add just a hint of orange to create a wonderful aroma and sophisticated taste.
6. Why add Ginger - Gets rid of throaT and nose congestion. It helps reduce flatulence fast, improves appetite and fires up the digestive juices. Also great for cramps.
WHY CEYLON CINAMON
Unlike ordinary Cassia Cinnamon you find in the stores, Ceylon Cinnamon has low Coumarin levels, so it won't damage your liver, especially if you are a regular Cinnamon tea drinker. Besides Ceylon Cinnamon is mild, yet slightly sweeter. It's not spicy like store bought Cassia Cinnamon, but has hints of cloves and citrus with a wonderful subtle aroma.
